SJP and Kate are nautical visions of summer in Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen’s ribbed sailor dress. Sarah Jessica wore the navy style in Hollywood, accented with a red croc clutch and hot-red bowed peep toes. Kate wore the classic white version with black heels in Prince Edward Island… her new husband playfully thanked P.E.I for naming the island after him. Awe… And speaking of the Prince. What’s not to love about Kate in a white Sarah Burton dress? Memories…

Blake steals the show (“Gossip Girl” that is…) in her Americana “Sperry Top-Sider A/O 2-Eye Navy Patent” boat shoes, skinny white jeans (at the perfect pedal-pushing ankle-length), and cropped knit striped sweater. While filming last season in Paris, “Serena”‘s chain-strap purse, and gold link charm bracelet offer the perfect finishing touch to this summer’s sailor look with staying power. It’s easy to see why this girl has caught the eye of Mr. DiCaprio. Lucky lady!

What are Jen-An’s travel must-haves? Looks like: jeans, a leather jacket and aviator sunglasses. Done!

On this side of the pond, at LAX, Jen wore flared jeans, a gray sweater, white tee, black round-toe boots, aviators and layered pendants. Although nothing outshines her beautiful blonde locks.

And across the Atlantic, Aniston took a few plays from the menswear handbook with a loose striped splendid tank, dark chocolate brown fedora, tinted Ray-Ban aviators, a black BELSTAFF biker jacket, distressed Current/Elliott boyfriend jeans and shoelace-less white Converse All Stars.

We’re to dress our bodies in thirds; a cropped sweaters stops after your top third flattering many figures. It lengthens petites, emphasizes height, minimizes a long torso. Keep a long fitted top (preferably a basic hued tank) underneath and try it with leggings or skinnies. This styles inherently loose, allow everything else to be fitted.

4 – Ella Moss Caycee Short: The short of spring-summer 2011 are precisely this relaxed yet SHORT style! Worn with flats, heels, or flips – they’re an instant update.

3 – Ella Moss ‘Greenwich’ Sweater: Again I love a cropped sweater. Is there anything more classic than light-wash denim, a white cotton tank, and heather gray sweater? I love this combo. Love. It.

I’m feeling ponchos right now. And when they’re worn properly, I’m not afraid to admit it…

Blake captured perfect-poncho-style while picking out her Christmas tree in New York City last month. The black leggings tucked into KILLER distressed brown motorcycle boots bring her loosely draped Aztec wool 12th. by Cynthia Vincent “blanket sweater” to a 10!! Nothing but net…

Blake’s blanket is so popular it’s only in Petite online, thankfully many other designers are getting their not-so Joseph-technicolor dream coats on – from $$$lux investments to $everyday value.

The key to mastering this look is to let your poncho be the focus. Don’t mix in any other prints, bright colors or statements. Keep your bottoms fitted (skinny jeans or leggings) and dark in hue. And don’t scarf yourself – the material in your cape is all your neck needs. Blake’s blanket hangs loosely but it isn’t over-sized.  If you opt for something with more material, belt it at the waist to maintain your shape. A successful poncho displays a relaxed bohemian style, so keep it SIMPLE.

SJP is a style phenomenon. As much as I love her style on the big (and small) screen and red carpet – this icon knows how to effortlessly rock her signature style in her daily life too. Every day is a 10!!

Parker keeps things consistent, often opting for UGGs (her go-tos are gray and sand). SJP also loves her Gerard Darel tukes (shown above in gray), Ray-ban oversized plastic shield sunglasses, and black down puffy vest. In the second pic, she’s wearing a Halston Heritage sequin tote (in gold, the same bag is shown in black in pic #3). I love her undone bed head hair, grey cuffed skinny cords and brown suede slouch cow-girl boots. Next, Sarah Jessica gets comfy in a Phillip Lim 3.1 gray cable knit sweater coat, purple cords, and metallic ballerina flats. And last, but not least… she pairs her down vest with cut-off denim pedal pushers, gray suede flats, a gray top and gold tote. This last look appears the most effortless, and for that reason it’s tied for my favorite with #2.

Sarah knows her personal style, she owns it and she rocks it. Every time.
