Summer’s come to an end, and we’re knee-deep in fall fashion. But right now all I can think about is the perfect purse for an upcoming destination wedding in Anguilla this November. And I’ve found it – the St Louis Tote by Goyard. I’m not alone. This go-to can be see all around the globe on celebrities and fashionable girls. Many have several styles and several colors (the Kardashian clan is in double digits by my count). Gwyneth monogrammed hers “G.K.P.M”, which I assume stands for ‘Gwyneth Kate Paltrow Martin’. Diane Kruger stops traffic with yellow and red stripes, and Nicky Hilton has a trifecta of red, yellow and green with her initials. Monogrammed or not, the St Louis is a chic beach bag, carry-on, diaper bag, gym bag, and commuter go-to. I’m currently dreaming about the white one Cameron Diaz wore in “What Happens in Vegas” – among others.
And because my fashion operations always come with a twist, Goyards are hard to come by. Sold by select Barneys (in stores only) and a few Bergdorfs (same); your best bet is to visit (or call) the only US Goyard boutique, located in San Fransisco. eBay is another option, but be wary of fakes. The only remaining question is, do I want white à la Nicole; light blue à la Gwyenth; bright blue à la Kendall; orange à la Kris; yellow Kim and Kourtney; or black à la Hilary? Decisions!!
Whether you don something safe (a tuke, black fedora, even a baseball cap as I’ve been known to wear on long flights) or avant-garde like these gals, hats off to you for trying and wearing it well!
Celebs likely have more pairs of sunglasses than most people, in recent months a hot-pick has been Ray-bans Cats 5000s. In black, gray, tortoise – it’s a fav to the ladies above and many more. Brighter shades like aqua-blue, and red make a popping statement. Or keep it subtle with purple.
Ray-bans oversized take on their classic wayfarer is another sure hit by a brand with nothing but staying power. While I continue to love all-things retro, this style takes us into 2010 CAT-tastically.
To the surprise of many, harem pants are back. These comfy, yet controversial low-rise-tapered-pants are a by-product of the Aladdin-style “I Dream of Jeannie” costume from the hit 60s TV show, and MC Hammer’s “Hammer Pant” signature style of the 90s. Chances are you either love them, or would HAPPILY leave them… But either way, harem pants are making appearances on key style-setters Hilary Duff, Jessica Alba, Charlize Theron, Diane Kruger and Sienna Miller.
When getting your harem-on, it’s important to keep everything else in your look simple (no patterns or prints, minimal accessories). These oddly shaped pants are the only statement needed. Opt for neutral colors like Hilary and Jessica have. Both girls have kept their look California-casual with flips and sandals. With other areas of the country cooling off this time of year, it’s likely more appropriate to boot (and maybe UGG??) your harems. Don’t over-think it, but this is a time to consider your authentic sense of style. Are harem pants you? Or is this a trend you’ll gladly sit out.
Whether you touch this trend or not, there’s no denying for many celebs: it’s HAREM-time.

UGGs haven’t gone anywhere, due to their sheer (or should we say “shear”??) comfort, celebs are loving them as much now as ever. Jennifer Lopez wore her Classic Sand boots out at “The Grove” shopping center in LA – while Hilary sported her tall worn-in Chestnut pair in Toronto this spring.
The girls on “Gossip Girl” are all big fans of these go-to boots between takes on set. Leighton (Meester), Blake (Lively), Jessica (Szohr), Michelle (Trachtenberg) and Taylor (Momsen) are all regularly seen in variations of the Australian boots. Just this week, Leighton was seen wearing short Bailey Button boots in Chestnut. We love the exposed fur detail of this exaggerated style.
Because fall is here, and winter’s just around the corner (sigh…) – it’s time to get your UGG on:

Hilary Duff and fiancée Mike Comrie got engaged while vacationing in Maui this past February. Duff’s been sporting a-hard-to miss estimated $1 million, 14-carat princess-cut sparkler ever since. Her sister Hailey has confirmed she’s the Maid-of-Honor for the upcoming-yet to-be-publicly-announced nuptials. Comrie plays for the Edmonton Oilers, and is heir to Canadian furniture empire, “The Brick”. Oh Canada… The couple’s been dating since 2007, and seem adorably happy.
Nicole Richie and fiancée Joel Madden (who dated Duff until 2006) confirmed in February they’ll also soon be heading down the aisle, when Nicole started wearing her telling ring. Nicole’s gorgeous four-plus-carat rock (estimated at close to $500k) was designed by her and celebrity-jeweler Neil Lane. Joel wanted Nicole to have her dream ring (awe…), and we’re pretty sure she got it!! Nicole and Joel have been dating since 2007 and have two children together, two-year-old daughter Harlow and baby brother Sparrow. Mum’s the word on when and where their wedding will take place, but we hope Daddy Richie (aka Lionel) will serenade his girl with something special.

Just one month before starlet Hilary Duff confirmed her engagement to NHL hockey player Mike Comrie, this Gossip Girl star shows us that even a little LA rain isn’t going to stop her style. Pairing a black rider hat (a great update to our beloved fedora), with Jimmy Choo’s faux croc black Hunters and a go-to black Balenciaga, Duff’s got her look down. Looks like putting up with the rain pays off!
