Save the “African Cats”

“Don’t blow it – good planets are hard to find.”  ~Quoted in Time Magazine

I don’t hide my love and obsession for Africa and all-things African – until a recent trip to Antarctica it was hands-down my favorite place on earth, and it still tops my list. So in honor of Earth Day Eve EVE, let’s take a few minutes to learn about “Save The Savanna”. A project dedicated to saving African terrain and wildlife – including these GORGEOUS African Cats. Disneynature captures a true story of “Lion Kings” in one of the wildest places on the planet, the Savanna Desert. Narrated by Samuel L. Jackson (think Sigourney Weaver for “Planet Earth” and Oprah for “Life“… amazing), this movie reminds us that so much of life’s beauty lies within Mother Nature. So let’s do our parts and be more loving (clean and green) towards the planet. For MANY more generations to come. As someone lucky enough to have visited Africa, I can say firsthand you want your children (and children’s children…) to see it for themselves in ALL of it’s glory one day.

You can start by seeing “African Cats” from this Friday to next… Disneynature will contribute $0.20 per ticket to the African Wildlife Foundation for the Amboseli Corridor project for everyone who sees AFRICAN CATS opening week (April 22-April 28) with a minimum of $100k pledged to this program. Walt Disney Records will also donate 20% of net proceeds received from the sale of the Jordin Sparks’ single “The World I Knew” to the AWF between April 12, 2011-2012 (up to $50k).
